At Apprentice Success, our mentoring and support services are designed to help you stay motivated, overcome challenges, and complete your apprenticeship.

We provide a full range of mentoring, guidance, and tailored support services to help you succeed at every stage of your apprenticeship.

One-on-one mentoring

  • Regular check-ins with a dedicated field officer or mentor
  • Mediation services to help fix problems at work and build better relationships
  • Support for mental health, bullying, harassment, and financial stress
  • Guidance on balancing work, training, and personal commitments
  • Referrals to specialist organisations for more support

Tailored Support Plan (TSP)

  • Together with your mentor, you will develop a Tailored Support Plan (TSP) that maps out the assistance you’ll receive

Capability and career assessments

  • Pre-apprenticeship assessments to check skills and career suitability
  • Tailored advice on how to strengthen areas where you may need extra support

Wraparound support services

We provide additional assistance for apprentices who may face unique challenges, including:

  • Women in trades — encouraging diversity in traditionally male-dominated industries
  • First Nations apprentices — culturally appropriate mentoring and support
  • Apprentices with a disability — extra learning and workplace support options
  • Regional and remote apprentices — additional help to stay connected and supported

Peer support and networking

  • Opportunities to connect with other apprentices through peer groups or workshops
  • Learn from shared experiences and build your support network

Study and skills support

  • Tips and resources for study skills, time management, and balancing training with work
  • Access to literacy, numeracy, and digital support

Wellbeing and mental health

  • Wellbeing check-ins as part of our mentoring program
  • Connections to professional counselling or mental health support services if needed

Flexible learning and recognition of prior learning

  • Options for blended learning (online + in-person) where available
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), so your past experience can count towards your qualification

Focus on retention and completion

  • Ongoing engagement between you, your employer, and your training provider
  • Early intervention if issues arise, so small challenges don’t become big problems
  • Programs designed to help you finish your apprenticeship and step into a secure career

Support for tools and equipment

  • Guidance on accessing allowances or subsidies for tools, uniforms, or safety gear if required

Employer education

  • Helping employers understand best practices for supporting apprentices
  • Resources to create safe, inclusive, and supportive workplaces that set you up for success
